By changing your OIL can it make your car stop smoking from the exhaust - it has gray to white smoke from it?

it does not stop smoking even when i drive it i thought it might be bad rings but thought an OIL change might helpBy changing your OIL can it make your car stop smoking from the exhaust - it has gray to white smoke from it?
gray/ white smoke indicates the engine is burning coolant, although the head gasket is most people's first guess, there is other ways it could be getting into the cylinders. Is it mid 90's GM product with 3.8 liter? How about any ford product with a 3.8 liter? Olds quad 4? send me an e-mail. I CAN help you!!By changing your OIL can it make your car stop smoking from the exhaust - it has gray to white smoke from it?
if its smoking your motor may have a blown head gasket, burnt valve,or one of pistons is sticking.the only way to see if its any of these things is to take it in and have it checked.
oil change won't help...check your oil to see if it's contaminated...also take off your radiator car while the car is running (and cold before any pressure has built up) and look for bubbles...might have a had head gasket.
If it has gray smoke then it is probably the head gasket and no an oil change will not help. You need to take it to the mechanic.
Blueish smoke ussually indicates a bad air to fuel ratio mixture. White smoke is usually a sign of burned gaskets, bad piston rings and other ways of oil seeping into the combustion chamber with the latter being more costlier to fix.
no that won't help it has serious problems like a head gasket, valve seals or bad piston rings
if you use a heavier oil,,like 40 w or 50 w ,it might
