Car dies when i slow to turn or stop and oil gage goes HIGH when i accelerate sometimes, any ideas?

What make, model and year? What is the milleage? When was your last tune up and oil change? Sounds like an oil pressure problem and plugs and wires.Car dies when i slow to turn or stop and oil gage goes HIGH when i accelerate sometimes, any ideas?
This sounds like a high mileage engine. I would agree that you should probably get a ';tune up';. Replace the spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, change the belts while your at it. My big concern in the oil pressure. You should probably get the car tested to make sure that you gage is correct. If it is you've got a serious problem because high oil pressure is caused by blocked oil passages. Sometimes you can get the blocks out by having you engine flushed, and sometimes the high pressure results from mechanical damage. If the block in the oil passage is bad enough you will not be lubricating a portion of your engine and a lot more problems will occur. If you are uncomfortable troubleshooting this you should probably schedule a trip to the shop.Car dies when i slow to turn or stop and oil gage goes HIGH when i accelerate sometimes, any ideas?
youre oil pump or oil pickup sreeen is bad, it could also be the oil sending unit, does this engine have 140,000 miles plus, its prob worn out
Your throttle cable may need to be adjusted, it could be the coil, the cap or rotor, bad ignition wires, or maybe bad spark plugs. I would check these to see if any of these need to be fixed or replaced. If it is an electrical problem, it could be playing trick with your oil gauge. I had a car that did the same thing when I accelerated.
when you take it for a tune up have them check the oil pressure
