also look at the oil filter it might be lose it might need to
be tight everything on this page is right do what everyone told you to do..Why does the oil light keep coming on when I stop at a light and then goes off? Just got an oil change.?
Possibly idle to low?-- The slower the engine runs the less oil pressure it has. So if engine idling, and oil is hot the light may flicker, - ( hot oil is thinner than cold oil!)--- Also bearings could be a little worn, and too thin an oil used! - When you speed engine up, the pump ,moves more oil and pressure increases!
There is no ';re-set'; for oil pressure light, - (however if sending unit bad, it could be replaced!)
Now if system marginal on oil, Mopars usually flick light on in heavy cornering at low speeds, - but the light goes right back off! This is because the oil ';slops';to the side and pump sucks a a small amount of air through for a a part of a second! Some are worse than others, and it may be more obvious in one direction than the other, -- when this happens you are at least a quart low on oil, - put oil in asap! ..Both my Acclaim, and Neon have done this for years!
Well some oil senders use a stud type connector which can get flaky and loose causing your light to flicker when the vehicle changes position. Such as when it shifts forward to stop. You may have also gotten some fluid on the harness connector to the switch. I would hit an auto parts store find out where it is and what it looks like, then clean with electrical parts cleaner.
possibly the sending unit is causing this too happen, that or the oil pressure is low on it,even with an oil change you can still have delivery problems because of a weak oil pump,id try replacing the sending unit on it,thats the cheapest repair you can make to start with, good luck.
have you check the level of oil and are you sure they changed it.. do you know what weight of oil they used ... id sure open the hood and check it before driving it much better save than sorry and then id go back to where you had oil change and ask them if it wasnt doing it before then good chance its something they done.. but check you oil first
When the engine is hot and at a idle, the oil pressure is weak
the oil pump spins the slowest at a idle, thus the light comes on while sitting still
it can be from engine bearing wear, weak oil pump, wrong grade of oil
They either didn't put something back on tight , or they need to re-set the light.
Have the oil pump checked
Sounds like low oil pressure. could be a number of things.
