We ar eat $70 a barrel now





Soon it will be $100 a barrel





Will ther be riots? Is Mad max coming?

Only if I have to pay $100 for that barrel. If it gets that high there will be more problems then gas. You wouldn't be running to mc donalds for the big mac either. It is the other products that will make a difference, like food.Will you stop driving a car if the oil price hits USD 100 a barrel?

I stopped driving a car for three months now.. I can t afford it being on the road.. So I'm either ';hoofing'; it or riding a bike.
I dont think people will stop driving their cars. People have to get to work and school etc. They will most likely car pool, ride share, take the bus or train more.
Not too far away before it hits $100. I'll just drive less. Good thing I never brought those gas guzzling SUV. I couldn't even afford the gas to get to the poor house.
%90 of the world's population do not own a car. Is the %10 that own a car relly that pathetic that they will riot over expensive gas?





Besides, most of world still pays much more gas than Americans do.
What are the alternatives? You can't pedal power a 4 wheel drive truck or heavy machinery. You can advance as a society without power equipment. Power is the source of advancment. We must find an alternative power source or degrade back into a more primitive society like unto that Mad Max of which you referenced.
we ALL need to stop driving our cars as much as possible. the only way the price is going to come down is if we stop using soo much. i ONLY burn one tank a month. its the bus after that.
well i have to get to work and it is a long drive so plan B i went out and bought a little motorcycle gets 38 mpg city and 57 highway on average prices are not up to us and little we can do to change them just be happy its not like in the UK at $7/gal or there about
It is called inflation. Gas prices are not really too high even at 100 pr barrel. We have just gotten used to cheap fuel. The next thing to catch up will be food prices. We have had extremely cheap food in North America, but it will not last.
let me tell you this we have very un smart people in this country because..... think of this we have the best oil here but the goverment got people messed up thinking that we are at war for oil that part of it but that not all no one tell the house of senate that we wont stand for this because this will never be a rich society not everybody has it like that and the rich need to say something to because why waste thier money people get the laws changed it take more than waiting for things to happen . i think it will happen but think if we protest are we terrorist and why are we in a fascia's country not free any more wake up people they want us to stay shut well i wont because i fight for my rights and may people that don't belong here should then we hit the government everything we got before we become like Russian in the 1980s
