Could be a bad pump, but could also be a bad sending unit. Replacing pumps can be pretty spendy on most cars, not familiar with this particular one. If you want to be sure, take it to a mechanic who has a high-quality oil pressure gauge he can put in place of the sender, and make sure pressure really is low. Or you could have the sender replaced. Pretty easy and cheap. This is also assuming your oil has not been compromised, (viscosity breakdown, contamination) so an oil change wouldn't hurt. Especially if the car has been ';flooded'; or has a gasket leak that has let Anti-Freeze mix with oil. Check the old oil when it drains.

What brand of oil are you using??? This really makes a difference. Your oil pressure relief valve or the oil sender unit may be full of engine sludge and can't work optimally. You should de-sludge the engine and switch to Mobil One. This will keep things working correctly. Also, be sure that your idle control air valve and PCV are clean. Use Gum-out occasionally to keep throttle body and control assemblies clean. Also, use only fuels with proven detergency factors. They burn cleaner and keep the inside of your engine clean, too. Sounds like a faulty pump, or wrong oil viscosity.
