Why did Obama mention Russian & Venezuelan oil, but state that he would stop dependence on Mideast oil only?

Kind of misleading. McCain says ';foreign'; oil dependence, Obama only says ';Middle East.'; Specific about it every time. Why did Obama mention Russian %26amp; Venezuelan oil, but state that he would stop dependence on Mideast oil only?
So to you IRAN is not in the middle east? Why did Obama mention Russian %26amp; Venezuelan oil, but state that he would stop dependence on Mideast oil only?
It's all about one of the world's largest oil producers, Norway! Due to Norway's North Sea oil, and the fact that any submarine wanting to go under the North polar ice cap has to go right past Norway, Obama, being the Sage prophet, knows that during the next cold war with Russia, Norway is in a very strategic position and we don't want to offend such a powerful nexus of power and influence on the world stage as Norway.

McCain, on the other hand, is blind to this major world player, not understanding Norway's significance. He may well blunder in his ignorance and accidentally drive Norway into the Soviet camp. What a disaster that would be, especially since Russia has claimed much of the North Pole and any alleged oil under it. This is especially relevant at this time as the last ice age continues to melt off, exposing more water up north, opening the way for oil exploration.

If the next war is over oil and if Russia continues to get uppity, the submarine path past Norway will increase in importance. Obama knows this since he can see the future. He does not want to offend Norway, so he confines his diatribes to ';middle east'; oil producers.

So I advise you students to forget learning Spanish or Farsi or Chinese and focus on learning Norwegian. Check out colleges in North Dakota.

HA!
It's funny because the top sources of US crude oil imports for July were Canada (1.960 million barrels per day), Saudi Arabia (1.661 million barrels per day), Mexico (1.200 million barrels per day), Venezuela (1.187 million barrels per day), and Nigeria (0.741 million barrels per day). The rest of the top ten sources, in order, were Iraq (0.696 million barrels per day), Angola (0.640 million barrels per day), Brazil (0.241 million barrels per day), Algeria (0.232 million barrels per day), and Ecuador (0.226 million barrels per day).

Clueless, left wing, uneducated, ';intellectuals';, would have you believe it all comes from the mid east and that's why we invaded Iraq.
It's the middle eastern oil cartels that are inflating the prices in the market. Ideally, America could produce enough oil and other sources of energy to be independent. China's increased involvement in purchasing oil has helped drive up the oil prices and as a result the U.S. has started to look for alternatives rather than be ';held over the barrel'; by middle eastern producers. McCain is looking to drill for our own oil and build more nuclear plants, Obama just wants to lessen our dependence on middle eastern oil.
During the Debate Obama also said that our dependence on foreign Oil changed the way we need to deal with the Russians. And that we were funding much of their oppressive government by our dependence on foreign oil. It was stated after McCain babbled something about there never being another cold war with the Russians, if you are going to watch it again on tape.
Obama shares the same socialist agenda as Putin and Chavez.
We get more oil and petroleum from Canada than any other country.

when did midle east apply to russia???
who cares? obama's gonna win. ahahahahaha
Picky, picky. John failed to score tonight, no matter how hard he tried.
