How do i stop my cast iron gridle pan from rusting further? i read something about oil and salt?!?!?

and i cant system to place it under food and drink - so if you find under some other catergory - sorry! How do i stop my cast iron gridle pan from rusting further? i read something about oil and salt?!?!?
First clean the rust off the pan with a steel wool pad- you

could use some dish soap for this but after you season

your pan, don't use soap, just hot water and a steel wool.

My grandmother taught me this: after you clean the pan,

dry it off with a paper towel and then put on the stove burner

on low. As the pan warms up, pour a tablespoon of cooking

oil into the pan, when the oil is warm, use a paper towel to

rub the oil into the pan so it is evenly coated. Let it stay on

the warm burner for a few more minutes, then wipe any excess oil off with a paper towel and put it away. My pans

have never rusted, so this is what I do after each use.How do i stop my cast iron gridle pan from rusting further? i read something about oil and salt?!?!?
when it has been washed up you should put a very thin layer of oil on it an gently wipe with kitchen tissue they should last forever like this.
Clean the rust off with sos pad. Rinse %26amp; towel dry %26amp; then season it with oil on a paper towel %26amp; put it into the oven for the oil to bake in until it's no longer shiny. That's all my mom ever did %26amp; her cast iron looked like new all her life. Never let a cast iron skillet air dry %26amp; depending on frequency of use season it at minimum every week or so to prevent rusting.

Put it in the oven until hot and then rub it down with cooking oil. This will eliminate the rust already there. When you wash it put it in a warm oven to dry then take it out and wipe down with an oily paper towel.
Place the pan on your hob pour in one table-spoon of sunflour oil and heat to maximum temp. ensure the oil has covered all the inside of the pan and heat until smoking.. I.E. burn the oil onto the pan. It will prevent rust and becomes non stick. Do not leave the pan unattenended at any time !!!
For a start use it. After use wash in hot soapy water dry well and store in clean dry cupboard.
