Why did Mr Bush stop Iraqi oil - being traded in Euros?

Why did he switch back to trading Iraqi oil in dollars (instead of the euro)..the day of the invasion?

The Iraqi people effectively lost a large chunk of revenue (about 20%)..the only people this suited was americans..and kept the dollar stable.

Does anyone think that the invasion was about securing the dollar and to keep the dollar in the oil game (the dollar oil cycle)..and could the current Iran situation (who switched to the Euro in 2006) be basically about the same thing? Why did Mr Bush stop Iraqi oil - being traded in Euros?
Watch this video and it will be obvious to you why:

And yes the demonization of Iran is centrally for the same reason.

Yet another reason why we need Dr Paul. Why did Mr Bush stop Iraqi oil - being traded in Euros?
Because hes from TEXAS!
we need to get a grip on energy and oil dependence

hey i need a fix.......
since 1973, when the US made a deal with OPEC to conclude petroleum transactions solely in US dollars, every country in the world has needed to keep large parts of their foreign currency holdings in dollars.

If Euros become more valuable, and the oil-producers begin taking them instead of dollars, the dollars (that were printed for the sole purpose of being traded for goods to countries that wished to purchase oil) all come home to roost, and their value approaches nil, as they are no longer useful in the world economy.
up until the day of the invasion, we were the number one buyer of Iraqi oil.

but I don't remember the dollar being in so much trouble at the time. And Bush had been planning to attack Iraq in some form since the first months of his term in 2001... I don't think he was planning it for the dollar at that time, either.
Its all a big conspiracy.

We are all living in a type of computer program known in my circles as the Great Crystal Vibration.

Sort of like the Matrix.

But we can't stop bullets.

Neither can Bush.

The threat of Islam is a huge deception like the 44 year Cold War.

America needs an enemy even if it has to create one to justify its empirical fantasies and stay the most powerful Western government.

The last was the USSR.

Now we have Al Qaeda.

Whats next?

Germany again?

Don't believe everything you hear on TV or read in the newspaper.

Its fed to us as dictated by those in control.

Of which Bush is not one... just a figurehead who is no more in control of things than we are.

Those actually in control are known only to a select few.

You and I are not privileged enough to have that information even though we seek it.. but you know what the Bible says don't you.. about seeking and finding?
from my view (from a front row seat i might add) of the situation in iraq at the time of the invasion, the first thing that the military did is to fire all of the sunni ';partisan'; oil workers and replace them with good old boys from halliburton ,assuming that they would be sadaam sympathizers.the net effect of which was to create a class of skilled workers that had little to do other than to ponder their inability to support their families and how to get back at the people that put them in that position.now what made them unique is the fact that they knew all about the oil buisness and the pipelines that delivered it to the gulf.

this is why the amount of oil exported from iraq is negligible compared to other producers in the region.these folks exhibited a remarkable skill and agility at making the very pipelines they once maintained unserviceable. i could go on and on but i need to watch ky. finish losing this ballgame.
so they don't make any money to buy weapons and stuff!
Don't know.

But I would guess that you have it all wrong.

According to Democrats and Nuts, Iraq doesn't have Any Oil.

We are taking it all!!!

That's why our gas is so cheap.
idk ask someone else

im just trying to win
Well, Bin Ladin crashed into our economy, so we must strike back, right?
