Why wont my oil light stop coming on and off when I stop and go?

I have a 2001 Dodge Neon and I got my oil changed at Walmart and now whenever I start to stop the oil light comes on and it make an annoying beep. Then I take off and it goes away. I took it back and they said thats all they can do ( i dont even know if they did anything) and well it is still doing it. Anyone know what I could do to make it start. Why wont my oil light stop coming on and off when I stop and go?
Have you checked you oil level your self? Why wont my oil light stop coming on and off when I stop and go?
sounds to like they didn't put enough oil in ,have you checked to see if its on the full mark?
Check the Oil level again..You may have a leak or the sump nut was not put back properly.. Check under your car in the morn and see if theres any oil on the ground..
They may have messed up something. Like forgot to put the drain plug in. Take it back to them and tell them what's going on. It is common that places will make a mistake.
its got to be either low on oil or the sending unit is going bad.
A. Poss.wrong oil filter B..If you go too long between oil/filter changes, sludge may have worked loose from fresh oil.How soon after oil change did this start? C. Get an oil presure test on your engine at a Chrysler dealer. D.(see A.)..Best use Mopar oil filter only. ron
It is probaly something minor but an issue will oil could later turn out to be quite costly. If the sensor is messed up you might later not be notified properly if something does go wrong. So you want to attack it and have proof if you need to go after them for it.

I assume all was well before the oil change..... so no way around it..... it is something they did. Go back again and first nicely ask them to print out whatever showing what they checked or did both times. Somewhere in something you signed was some sort of warrenty. THEN tell them you expect them to fix it. And oh yea, ask for the head guy. A call ahead of time to the main guy will give the guys a heads up...... they will call and say just fix it.

It's Walmart so if they don't fix it you can makes some calls and talk to someone higher in corporate. You have proof that they were unable to help you.

Or take it somewhere else like the dealer or another corporate place like Goodyear or Merchants. You can do this after you get no satisfaction from Walmart. Then you go to Walmart and ask for a refund.

Or you do it first and then go to Walmart or make your calls.

Point is that you don't have to know about cars as that is their job. If they made a mistake or did not catch a major issue then they will have to fix it for free. They might say the oil light comes on in some vehicles when you start but it should not beep everytime. If everything is well it does not come on when stopping.

It sounds complicated but you must go to it before it becomes a huge issue. You might consider taking a male friend w. you. Though it is the 21st century the rule still applies. I am not a big car guy but I always note that even though I don't say much that if my wife is having something fixed and I show up with her customer service is always ten times better. She is small and cutesy and they assume she knows squat. They assume that I know more because I am a man.

But even if you do it yourself...... don't take any crap.
Hopefully all it is is a faulty oil pressure sending unit, or just low oil level. Check it then see a mechanic.
I think you are really after a man!!!!! That my theory on why females dont know %26amp; or not interested in their cars until somethings goes wrong. Did you ever read your owners manual? The wire to the oil light switch has come off or been bumped off %26amp; is swinging in the breeze. when you accelerate it moves away %26amp; doesnot connect with anything .when you stop the live wire toughs the engine block or some part that makes it complete the circuit %26amp; puts the buzzer %26amp; light on!
Sounds like the sending unit(switch) is bad or you have excessive bearing clearances, which may be pricy to correct.
sounds like its a little shy on oil, and the motion is taking the level away from the sensor and its showing low oil level. and loose wire to the oil sensor may also be causing the problem.
check the oil and if good change the oil pressure sending unit
There should be a sensor that they are supposed to reset when they change your oil. Take it back and tell them that they need to reset the sensor.
it sounds like it could be the oil sending unit. i would have this checked. see if your check engine light is on. if it is, go get the code read at autozone. they do it for free
Replace the oil sending unit.
