sounds like too much soot in the firing chamber - time to open it up and clean it out. It's probably tripping the reset because it's getting too hot next to the igniter.

My weil-mclain oil-fired boiler will stop igniting . it has been a problem for a while.?
it will run all day then it will not fire back up. i have to go out and thr reset button and it fires up evey time. but the last 2 times there has been like a back fire noise coming out the stack. thats when i no that the the boiler wont igniteMy weil-mclain oil-fired boiler will stop igniting . it has been a problem for a while.?
